The Last Day of the Past
Entry in "A Story to Set Us Free"
A rushed entry to a small contest about writing a story, and telling that story through music.
Composer's Comment
Ouch. Listening to this hurts my pride. From the obviously sequenced piano to the somewhat awkward structure, I can't really say I enjoy listening to this one. But I am fond of the chords that emerge as the composition goes on.
Interestingly enough, I think this is the first composition of mine released publicly, in which there are parts I have recorded in realtime and not sequenced. This applies to the bass line and the ending. The deadline was simply approaching so quick I didn't have time to input the rest through the sequencer.
The story I wrote is available as a Google Document, but I'm too embarrassed to read it again. You've been warned. Look at the year. This was me 6 years ago. I have improved x)
